I have always used the word "alot". I have recently been noticing that everytime I write "alot" in Microsoft Word it automatically changes it to "a lot". I noticed I did this today AGAIN and thought I would share my findings in my grammar post.

I do that a lot also. I am glad I have the devices to help me correct these little errors that I am so stuck on. I often wonder how they did it in years past. Students would have to have a lot of books. Now, we have computers that do a lot for us. Sooner or later we will get it right. But, sometimes it is a lot to remember. This is a good post on you're side. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing. I'm fine when I am typing and have spell check, but if I am writing with a pen or pencil I rarely remember to leave a space in a lot.
